Shortly after the outlet was opened, IKEA even faced a business suspension because of severe road congestion on the roads leading to the mall. Needless to say that when I went there on a Saturday morning, I was not surprised to find a huge crowd of people hunting for some furniture bargains and queuing up for delicious meatballs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/howskorea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/P1020217.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-351\" src=\"https:\/\/howskorea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/P1020217-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"P1020217\" width=\"760\" height=\"570\" srcset=\"https:\/\/howskorea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/P1020217-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/howskorea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/P1020217-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a country like South Korea where cheap furniture is hard to find, IKEA&#8217;s success was guaranteed from the beginning. Despite the fact that IKEA Korea&#8217;s prices are the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whowired.com\/406840.htm\" target=\"_blank\">second most expensive<\/a> worldwide, Koreans are not discouraged from buying masses of home appliances and food.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from being on the more expensive side, there aren&#8217;t many major differences; this outlet just looks like any other IKEA store around the (well, still cheaper than most Korean furniture) home appliances just around the corner \ud83d\ude42 .<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Directions<\/em><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Even though Gwangmyeong station is only 10 minutes away from IKEA, subways only run a few times a day, so I took the bus from Cheolsan Station (Line 7).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/howskorea.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/P1020220.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-364\" take bus number 12, 17 or 22. The bus journey to &#8220;IKEA\/Lotte Outlet station&#8221; takes around 30 minutes.
