It actually was my second time experiencing this amazing show which I first saw when I visited Korea 3 years ago. I enjoyed it so much that it became one of my most cherished memories from back then. After seeing it again, I think I fell in love with this humorous performance even more.

Nanta is a non-verbal show combining Samulnori (사물놀이), Korea’s traditional percussion music, with comedy. The story is set in a restaurant’s kitchen where 3 cooks vigorously try to prepare a wedding buffet while teaching their manager’s nephew how to cook. During the performance, the actors constantly interact with the audience and some spectators are even pulled on stage to fulfill certain tasks like piling up dumplings.

Before, as well as after the show, you can even buy Nanta merchandise such as aprons, mugs and t-shirts:

Since there are almost no dialogues, Nanta is a spectacle which everyone can enjoy.
