Hello Kitty Café’s new location in Hongdae

Last week I visited Hello Kitty Café’s new location in Hongdae, and I was surprised to see that the new building was far bigger than the former one.

The Hello Kitty Café is THE paradise for every Hello Kitty fan. As soon as you get through the gate you’ll be struck by the Hello Kitty themed decoration. Even in front of the building, there are cute couches waiting for you to sit on them and enjoy the sun.

After entering the building, you won’t be able to escape the twinkly atmosphere. As far as the eye can reach, you’ll see nothing but pink glory.

Even though the Hello Kitty Café may seem a bit like a museum, it actually is, as its name already suggests, a café. There’s a huge variety of drinks and food for you to choose from:

In my opinion the prices are quite reasonable for a café this popular. I ate a waffle set for 10000 Won and my peach ice tea cost 4000 Won.

The new location has two floors and the upstairs section is just as adorably decorated as downstairs.

There’s even a Hello Kitty themed bedroom which you can enter and freely have a look at all the details they put into this room.

Finally, to top off your trip, how about heading on over to the café’s own Hello Kitty Gift Shop and buying some souvenirs for your family and friends ;)?

Take Exit 9 at Hongik University Station, cross the street, go down the street and cross again at the second crosswalk, then turn left. Pass Forever 21 and turn at your third right.

Go down the street and as soon as you spot Snow Spoon, turn left. After a few meters, you’ll see the entry of the Hello Kitty Café on your left.
